Supply Chain Supervisor
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Circa £40k + Bonus + Benefits
We are supporting a well-established engineering and operational business in Milton Keynes with the appointment of a Supply Chain Supervisor.
This is a hands-on position managing a small team across dispatch, administration and warehouse operations. The role will suit somebody who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day running of an operation, keeping things moving and supporting a team in a busy environment.
The business operates within a fast-paced supply chain setting where service levels, organisation and communication are important. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials and products move efficiently through the operation while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the daily flow of materials, spare parts and logistics activity
- Supervising a small operational team across dispatch and administration
- Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries
- Working with freight forwarders and courier providers to minimise delays
- Supporting import and export processes
- Monitoring operational performance and service levels
- Supporting warehouse organisation and stock movement
- Maintaining accurate information across internal systems
- Assisting with process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Building effective relationships with internal departments and external suppliers
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within supply chain, logistics, warehouse or operations supervision
- Experience managing or supporting operational teams
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving operational environment
- Systems and process focused
- ERP system experience preferred
- SAP experience beneficial but not essential
- Good Excel skills
- Power BI knowledge would be advantageous
- Proactive approach with the ability to solve problems and manage priorities
